Sen. Isakson on ObamaCare: You don’t Have Health Insurance, You Get Taxed – and If You Do, You Get Taxed
By PoliJAM | September 26, 2009
Delivering this week’s Republican Weekly Address, Sen. Johnny Isakson went after the latest health care reform proposal that was introduced by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Montana) as just a different method from the previous Democratic proposals for the government to take “control of our healthcare system.”
Calling the Baucus’ bill “the wrong approach for our families,” Isakson slammed it as one big tax increase that can not be avoided whether your have health insurance coverage or not.
“It would still impose taxes on virtually every American and small business. If you have insurance, you get taxed. If you don’t have insurance, you get taxed. If you’re an employer who cannot afford to provide health insurance to your employees, you get taxed.”
