Liz Cheney Suggests Cheney 2012 Ticket

By PoliJAM | November 15, 2009

During her appearance on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, the former State Department official and eldest daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney defended the possibility of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin becoming the Republican presidential nominee in 2012.

Liz Cheney argued that “once you’ve been the vice presidential nominee, you are a serious candidate.”

“You know, look. I think that she will have to go through the exact same process as anybody else, but you know, she was our vice presidential nominee in 2008, and I think that it would be nothing short of sexist to say that simply, you know, she — she’s not a serious candidate.”

Shortly thereafter, Cheney suggested that her father may run for office in 2012.

“You could also look at the comparison and think Cheney 2012.”
