Rep. Wasserman Schultz: “Confident” the Anti-Abortion Stupak Amendment Won’t Be in Final ObamaCare Bill

By PoliJAM | November 9, 2009

Just as House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) warned about on Saturday when the Democrats were providing no guarantee that the anti-abortion Stupak Amendment would stay in the end health care reform bill if a bill is passed by the Senate, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schutlz (D-Florida) said that she is “confident” that the anti-abortion language will be taken out during the conference committee between the House and the Senate.

“I am confident that when it comes back from the conference committee that language won’t be there and I think we’re all gonna be working very hard, the pro-choice members to make sure that’s the case”
